Negroni
| 30 ml | NO. 3 GIN |
| 30 ml | MARTINI ROSSO |
| 25 ml | CAMPARI |
Stir over cubed ice in a mixing jug, and strain over block/cubed ice in an old fashioned glass.
Garnish with an orange twist.
As my good friend Marco Noe, and the notable Gary Regan have commented, this drink is bulletproof, it’s hard to make it wrong. But that’s no call to be lackadaisical, it requires attention as any other. However, it is pretty hardy – you can bump the gin, or the vermouth, drop down the Campari, switch up brands, etc. It just works. Whatever you do though, don’t over-dilute so it makes a watery mess – it’s the only thing that can go wrong.
